The Kingold Australian Film Festival, jointly arranged by the Australian Consulate General in Guangzhou, Guangdong Movie Company and Guangdong Hua Ying South Movie Cinema net work Co., Ltd, is being opened on Thursday (November 18) with eye-catching ceremony at five-star Fei Yang Cinema.
It is now confirmed that two Australian stars, Mr Sam Worthington and Mr Christopher Doyle, will turn up at the occasion, being the honorary and distinguished guests
The Consul-General of Australia, Mr Kevin Magee, says, "This is the first ever festival of contemporary Australian films to be held in Guangzhou, we are proud to have those ten films with Chinese subtitles to showcase Australia's strength and achievements in the film industry. I am confident that Guangzhou residents could like the films."

"In the procedure of the festival, we plan to conduct an exciting quiz lucky-drawing to the audiences. Prizes or saying the grand prizes are included in 10 portable DVD players and two return air tickets from QANTAS to Australia!" Mr Magee adds.
Public screening starts on Friday the 19th running through till 28th of the month. There is to be at least two, if not three, public screening on each day during the ten days Festival.
