Hong Kong Chief Executive's Council of International Advisers move its seventh meeting to Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, on November 4, focusing on the developments of the Pearl River Delta and Pan-PRD region.
The Council members have a fruitful discussion about the implementation of the Mainland/Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the role of Hong Kong in Pan-Pearl River Delta economic developments.
It will help the advisers make more precise proposals for Hong Kong's development within the Greater Pearl River Delta, including strategies for the Hong Kong, Macao and the Pan Pearl River Delta Regions.
Zhang Dejiang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Guangdong Province emphasizes the interdependent relationship between Hong Kong and Guangdong, and pointed out that both sides have benefit a lot in the PPRD cooperation.
"It's the first time my council of international advisers meets outside Hong Kong," Tung Chee Hwa, Chief Executive of the HKSAR says, "Moving the meeting gave the international entrepreneurs that make up the council a first-hand taste of South China's fast-growing economy."
The delegates visited Guangzhou high-tech zone, Shenzhen and Dongguan after the meeting, and highly praised these years' fast development of Guangdong province.
