The 96th Canton Fair (Chinese Export Commodities Fair), held on 15th-30th this month, become the second largest among the world's exhibitions only after the CEBIT (International Fair for Information Technology, Telecommunications, Software and Services) in Germany.

The Fair composes two phases and will held in Pazhou Complex and Liuhua Complex simultaneously. Some 760 booths are added, and the net exhibition area will reach 249,800sq.m.. There are 15091 booths in Pazhou Complex and 12669 booths in Liuhua Complex. This Fair attracts 48 delegations, and 13000 trading and manufacturing corporations as well as scientific research institutions.

The number of attending purchasers will be similar to that of the last session, which is a record high.

During the fair, a fashion show featuring China’s top export garment brands will be held.

Canton fair is such a large-scale comprehensive fair with big complexes and countless goods. In a bid to make purchaser’s job easier, several smaller exhibitions for certain goods are held in other Pearl River Delta area near Guangzhou, including Shenzhen Hi-tech fair, Shunde Household Electronic Appliance Expo 2004, and the First China Small and Medium Enterprise Fair.

Purchasers can also take the chance to enjoy Guangdong culture presented in China (Jiangmen) Chinese Carnival and Jiangmen Tourism Festival, which is to open on Oct 16th.
