Bureau of Urban Planning of Guangzhou Municipality announce the three winning schemes of Guangzhou Television & Sightseeing Tower - future Guangzhou landmark yesterday (Aug. 24th).
The three schemes, out of 13 competitors, finally win after three rounds of poll by expert group. They are:
Scheme 3, designed by French Architecture-Studio.
A 180m*180m garden high up in the sky. And the tower's metal surface can vary its color under the special lighting.
Scheme 4, designed by British ARUP Qualification
The 450m tower has an elegant shape with a slim waist and features cinema, museum, café, restaurant and so on. A good choice for relaxation and sight-viewing.
Scheme 11, designed by German Leon Wohlhage Wernik
Five theme areas with story plot are embedded in the 509m high golden tower, representing Gold, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth, the five elements to compose the physical universe in Chinese traditional thought.
