Nine design proposals for the new Guangdong Museum are displayed at the old museum yesterday (March 16th), and citizens can vote for their favorite design online or in the display area.

The new Guangdong Museum will be located in the Zhujiang New City, and cover an area of 40 thousand square meters, with an estimated total investment of 9 thousand million RMB. The new Guangdong Museum will be one of the cultural landmark buildings in the province.

Nine international design institutions from 7 countries submitted proposals for this project.

The construction of the museum is expected to be completed by January 2008.

Scheme No.9: A forward-looking and internationalized design with Chinese culture and philosophy.
