The city’s market supervision and administration bureau has asked Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court to execute a fine of 260 million yuan (US$41.67 million) imposed on Shenzhen QVOD Technology Co. for featuring pornographic materials, according to a report by CCTV on Monday.

China Revised the Catalogue of Guidance of Foreign Investment Industries again
On November 4th,2014, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the revised draft of the Catalogue of Guidance of Foreign Investment Industries (“Catalogue”) for seeking for public comment. The revised draft is mainly to relax the foreign investment admission in service industry and general manufacturing industry. Since the Catalogue released in 1995, this is the sixth revision. This revision is the maximum in amplitude and openness, which cuts sharply on restricted entry and further liberalization of restrictions on foreign equity ratio. Restricted items are reduced from 79 to 35. In the liberalized the restrictions on foreign equity ratio, "cooperation", "joint venture" entries are reduced from 43 to 11, "the Chinese side holding" entries are reduced to from 44 to 32.
