Joining China Southern Airlines, it is expected to fly on round-routes between Guangzhou and Beijing from next June 6. The aircraft will undergo at least 25 hours of flying tests before beginning commercial operation.

The carrier also plans to fly its Dreamliner fleet from Guangzhou to international destinations - including Paris, Vancouver, London and Auckland, New Zealand - after the aircraft and air crews are prepared for long-haul routes, according to China Southern Airlines.

China Southern arranges four first-class seats, 24 business seats and 200 seats in the economy class, totaling 228 seats on the plane. Designed for long-distance flights, the Boeing 787 is a new aircraft range in the civil aviation market after the Airbus A380 passenger jetliner. It is quieter and more fuel efficient.
