THE 14th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) will be held between Nov. 16 and 21 in Shenzhen, the organizers said at a news conference in Beijng yesterday (April 24).

With the theme of Promoting Science Innovation and Improving Development Quality, this year's fair will highlight the development of emerging industries such as next-generation mobile telecommunication, Internet, Internet of Things, cloud computing, panel technologies, pharmaceuticals, and ocean and space technologies.

There will be a designated area for micro-enterprises that specialize in innovation and research, and that offer a variety of services such as finance, incubation and training.

The fair, which covers 100,000 square meters at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, will include interactive demonstrations of high-tech products, high-tech exhibitions, forums and themed activities.

"Besides domestic exhibitors, countries including Germany, the United States, South Korea, Russia, Australia, Brazil and Canada have so far pledged to send delegations to the fair," Shenzhen Mayor Xu Qin said.

More than 300 well-known companies from home and abroad will hold exhibitions covering IT, new energy, electronics and other fields.

The organizers will also put on fairs at subvenues in Israel and Hungary in June.

The CHTF is regarded as China's No. 1 high-tech exhibition in terms of scale and participants.
