Don't forget to bring your umbrella these three days!

Affected by light showers and hazy weather, the visibility in Guangzhou was of only two kilometers yesterday (Dec7). The authorities issued a yellow warning and announced that the hazy weather is likely to persist for another three days before a cold front enter Guangdong and blow the pollution away.

So far this year, Guangzhou has experienced 65 hazy days. That is less than the previous years, but with 3 weeks left before the end of the year it now seems that the Guangdong Meteorology Bureau will have to revise its estimation of a maximum of 70 days of hazy weather in 2009. The number of hazy days has been gradually dropping from 131 days in 2007 and 110 days in 2008.
