Guangdong mission visits Japan

Yesterday, Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, Prime Minister of Japan, met with visiting Guangdong Party Secretary Wang Yang and a Guangdong mission in Tokyo.

Mr. Hatoyama said, Guangdong had be a key stimulator of China-Japan trade and cooperation, and hope Guangdong can continue to play this role.

Wang said Guangdong and Japan experienced an average annual trade growth of 11.9 percent from 2003-2008. Last year, Japanese companies input 8.5 billion USD to their Guangdong projects, making Japan the province’s biggest investor. Guangdong hopes to expand cooperation with Japanese companies in energy saving, environmental protection, low carbon economy, advanced manufacturing, hi tech and modern service.
