Dongguan is to establish an influenza monitoring system with five locations, including the etiology monitoring site already established in the People's Hospital, and a further four locations are to be established in townships such as Changping, Tangxia, Zhongtang and Chang'an.
The locations will monitor the effect of influenza-like illness on people of different kinds and in different places. In this way, Dongguan will increase their ability to cope with the likely flu peak in a timely manner by utilizing this established and comprehensive monitoring system.
There will be five categories of people with respect to the influenza-like illness spotting program, including patients, worker, students from kindergarten through high school, children in orphanages, and the elderly residing in nursing homes.
