Hong Kong will send the strongest ever delegation to attend the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games and encourage its citizens to serve as volunteers for the Games, according to Mr Timothy Fok Tsun-ting, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia and President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong.
Mr Fok attended a press conference in Hong Kong to welcome the delegation of "Road of Asia" - a promotional campaign for the 16th Asian Games.
Ms Yuan Yue, Deputy Director of the Marketing Department of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee, was also at the press conference and briefed local media on the Games' ticketing programme. She revealed that the programme's official website will be online in November 2009, coinciding with the one-year countdown to the Games, and that online ticket booking services will be available in January next year.
