Another 51 new cases of A/H1N1 fluwere confirmed on the Chinese mainland in the 24 hours ending 6 p.m. Sunday (June 28), bringing the country's total to 729, but no fatality has been reported.
Nineteen new cases were confirmed in coastal Guangdong Province, and eight each for Beijing and Shanghai, according to a news bulletin posted on the Web site of the Health Ministry.
Provinces of Fujian and Jilin and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region each reported three new cases, provinces of Jiangsu and Shandong each reported two. Zhejiang, Henan and Hunan provinces each had one, it said.
Among the patients, 401 have been discharged from hospitals, 314 were being treated in hospitals and 14 were receiving medical care at their homes.

Guangdong health experts said Guangdong may have more A/H1N1 cases in schools and communities in the coming weeks, and also it is possible to have death cases. They suggested Guangdong adjust the disease prevention and control measures to deal with the possible bigger outbreak.
The provincial health authority then classified the 21 cities into two categories: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Jiangmen, Dongguan and Zhongshan, which had relatively more cases reported, were in Grade 1 with stricter measures, the other 14 were in Grade 2. The province will also make full use of the flu labs of the 21 cities for diagnosis. The disease prevention and control work in schools and communities will be enhanced.
