In the wake of the global financial crisis, the central government adopted policies to stimulate the economy. At the crucial moment, the 5th Pan-PRD Regional Cooperation &Development Forum &Trade Fair is held in Nanning. The forum offers us the important opportunity to address international financial crisis and boost economic growth. As the host of the event, we'd like to extend our sincerely welcome to the distinguished guests and look forward to embracing a bright future in PPRD regional cooperation.

Following the globalization and regional integration trend, PPRD regional cooperation delicates to building up inter-provincial cooperation platform, so as to promote the complementary development of eastern, middle and western parts of China. With the joint efforts of all parties, the PPRD regional cooperation is advancing in various aspects since 2004, such as mechanism, cooperation fields. It plays an increasing important role in the social and economic development in PPRD regions and sets an active example for the regional cooperation.

According to PPRD regional cooperation Framework Agreement, Guangxi dedicates to promoting the cooperation in varying fields involving transportation, energy source, labor service, economic â„¢, tourism and people's livelihood. The efforts are rewarded with the remarkable achievements.

Incomplete statistics show that since the 1st Pan-PRD Regional Cooperation &Development Forum &Trade Fair was held, the total implemented projects in Guangxi reached 8745 while the contracted investment came to 407.947 billion yuan covering an actual investment of nearly 204.287 billion yuan. Guangxi serves as a bridge to connect all parties of PPRD region and push forward the economic and social development.

Under the current complex and profound circumstances in the world, all parties of PPRD regions should cherish the opportunities and jointly endeavor for a win-win situation. In order to achieve this goal, a sound and high-level cooperation network need to be established. Only by this way, can we form the great force in the fierce international competition.

To meet the requirement specified in PPRD regional cooperation Framework Agreement, and Outline of the Development of PPRD Regional Cooperation, Guangxi will detail its efforts in the following aspects:Firstly, follow the economic and market disciplines; pay highly attention to the implementation of agreements and plans; Secondly, actively learn from other provinces and push forward the social and economic development in Guangxi; Thirdly, enhance the cooperation with other provinces on the diverse fields, including tourism, industry, enterprises, science and technology, talent, education, culture, transportation. For example, we should develop Xijiang into an important drive to promote economic development among PPRD regions. Meanwhile, we should also accelerate the construction of highways and railways in a bid to build a sound transportation system. Fourthly, we should commit ourselves to advance the construction of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone and deepen mutually-beneficial cooperation with PPRD regions.

Fifth, we should make full use of the low cost and location advantages to improve the industrial transfer. In a word, PPRD regional cooperation gives a strong impetus to the all-round development of Guangxi. We will joint hands with PPRD regions to grasp the historic opportunity and develop Guangxi into a new growth pole and comprehensive platform for economic development in China.

As the host of 5th Pan-PRD Regional Cooperation &Development Forum &Trade Fair, we are determined to make the Fair a great gathering which will encourage the opening up and pragmatic cooperation of the people involved, and fully display the thriving vitality of cooperation and development in the PPRD regions. We are convinced that the Fair will pave the way for innovative cooperation among PPRD regions that will lead to the sustainable development in a new era.
