GAGOC promotes songs for the 2010 Asian Games

The campaign for promotion of songs composed for the Asian Games, organized by the Organizing Committee for Solicitation of Songs for the 16th Asian Games, was launched at Huajing Primary School located in Tianhe District on the morning of March 30th. Those who attended the ceremony included Xu Ruisheng, Vice Mayor, and the Deputy Secretary-general of GAGOC and Director of the Organizing Committee for Solicitation of Songs for the 16th Asian Games.

Xu said that, as a result of the campaign, students together with parents and teachers can learn more about Asian Games which are expected to enhance their awareness of social responsibility. Therefore, they can better participate in the 16th Asian Games as hosts.

The campaign will last from March 2009 to 2010. Relevant activities concerning songs, quizzes and music classroom activities about the Asian Games will be held at middle and primary schools across the city.
