A quality and credit assessment system, the first to be established in China, is to be built in Guangzhou within three years, said sources from the Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision of Guangzhou Municipality recently.
Liu Shubiao, Deputy Director of the Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision of Guangzhou Municipality, said that this assessment system, which is similar to that applied in banks, covers four classes: A, B, C and D. The better reputation a company enjoys, the fewer inspections and more privileges it will receive. Companies of poor reputations shall be under strict and frequent supervision and shall be punished by law for any infractions. It is said the plan for the assessment system will be completed within the year.
