Children are describing what they think the Asian Games Mascot design will be like through their paintings, an activity being carried out in seven of Guangzhou's children palaces.
Officials from the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee said that, as a result of the activity, eleven paintings would be shown on the day when the Guangzhou Asian Games Mascot was unveiled.
Children participants, showing what they envision the Guangzhou Asian Games Mascot to be like had many ideas. Some said that the mascot must be a ram which traditionally represents Guangzhou. Other ideas included flying swallows and big jumping fish as well as Bomhax flowers as a background. Others said the mascot should be a Phoenix flying with lucky clouds at a high speed just like the famous sprinter Liu Xiang does.
The activity has attracted many participants among the children of GZ and, as a result, there will be over 500 paintings shown.
