From 10am Mar 15 to 10am Mar 16, Guangdong had 12 new influenza cases, no death cases were reported. This year so far, the province had 428 flu cases and 7 flu outbreaks (15 individual cases in a same unit within one week). All of the 7 outbreaks were flu B, occurring in schools and involving 262 patients. They occurred in Guangzhou (2 outbreaks), Zhuhai (2 outbreaks), Shenzhen, Shaoguan and Huizhou respectively.
Flu accounted for 3.9 percent of the total clinic cases in the province, lower than the alert 5.1 percent.
