At the "Guangzhou Service Outsourcing Pro-Seminar Forum" held recently, the Guangzhou service outsourcing program gained important new support. A series of high quality investment projects involving software outsourcing, ani-comic design, exhibition and conference business and financial services were confirmed by signed agreements. The construction project for Phase II Project of the Service Outsourcing Demonstration Area in Nansha IT Park has an initial investment of USD 25 million, the Product Performance Testing Center has an investment of USD 15 million, among others.

Vie Mayor Chen Mingde said that Guangzhou would take advantage of the opportunity of "China's Service Outsourcing Base City", to introduce the Several Opinions on the Promotion of Service Outsourcing Development in Guangzhou, to establish special funds designed to guide and drive Guangzhou's service trade onto the internationalized development pattern. Also among the goals is to build Guangzhou into a world-known international service outsourcing center on the largest scale in South China and on leading levels of China in 5 years.

Xiao Zhenyu, Director of the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangzhou Municipality disclosed that, in the future Guangzhou would invest at least RMB 200 million annually to boost the development of the service outsourcing sector. Moreover, it would work to attract mid and senior service outsourcing professionals from Hong Kong and Macau as well as overseas Chinese scholars to come to Guangzhou to work or to start businesses. These professionals would also support various institutions of higher education intermediary agencies, and social training bodies to carry out the trainings to improve the career skills of the practitioners.
