Astronautic mini orchid appears at flower market- China - News Brief

At the 15-day event, a few exotic varieties will premiere the market. The Dendrobium (a variety of orchid) derived from Japan needs 5 years cultivation, and there are no more than 1,000 pots of such plants in Japan. This time the park has imported 120 pots with at a price of 20,000- 30, 000 yuan each.

Another precious plant in the park is called "Astronautic Mini Orchid". The plant was grown from a seed from the astronautic shuttle. Its bloom is only 1/20 of the normal moth orchid flower. It is so rare that there is only one in China.
