Shuttle buses between Shenzhen and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport became operational on Oct.15, making it more convenient for Shenzhen residents to fly from Guangzhou.

Passengers can first check in for either domestic or international flights and collect their boarding passes at the Guangzhou airport??s Shenzhen terminal located on Bagua Road 1 in Futian District and then take buses to the Guangzhou airport. They only need to pass through the security check before getting onto the plane.

A special terminal for passengers from Shenzhen was also put into use at the Guangzhou airport yesterday.

The shuttle buses leave every hour. The first shuttle bus leaves Shenzhen at 6 a.m. every day and the last one leaves Shenzhen at 5:30 p.m. Shuttle buses leaving the Guangzhou airport run between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.

At present, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has more than 120 domestic flights and nearly 50 international flights, covering some 140 cities and regions in China and abroad. In the first half of this year, 128,000 flights, or more than 700 flights daily, took off and landed at the airport with a passenger throughput of 14.80 million people. The airport is expected to handle more than 30 million passengers this year. 聽
