Guangzhou's housing property price hit a record high in July. The first-hand commercial houses reached 9475聽RMB per square meters in July, up 624聽RMB per square meter compared to that of last month, according to the latest statistics issued by Guangzhou Land Resources and Housing Management Bureau on Aug.1.
Meanwhile, the trade volume of Guangzhou has dropped for two consecutive months. Guangdong Housing Association attributed the rapid price rise to the increasing gap between demand and the supply.
Guangzhou house and price watchdogs inspect new real estates
Guangzhou Land Resources and Housing Management Bureau carried out a joint inspection with price watchdog and commerce and industry administration at real estate that just began selling houses. The check revealed that some properties are not obeying the rule of price display.
At one property, inspectors discovered that apartment areas and prices were written with very small font. An official with Guangzhou Price Control Administration said:
The information of each house's orientation and floor should be written down. One A4 paper should only show information of one house in big font.
Officials also remind consumers to carefully read the terms when signing purchase contract. And consumers should make clear whether there is other extra payment in addition to house cost, whether it complies with the policy or not.
