In order to provide more guidance and assistance for the blind, based on monitoring the previous facilities, directional plates and help buttons were installed at the entrances of metro Line 1 and 2.
With the help of the plates, blind people are guided to the walking areas established for them as well as the help buttons. If a blind passenger needs help, he can press the button to summon station staff. The new facilities bring more convenience and safety for the sight impared.
The following four plates/buttons were installed on metro line 1 and 2: Plate at entrance showing directions; Plate at side door showing the location of help buttons; Plate showing direction to platform banister and a button for help (auxiliary facility).
The installation of the guide plates for Line 1 and 2 will be completed by the end of July.
