Over 40 % Guangzhou citizens are satisfied with the city's urban environment and 18.7 % happy with the food safety. This is the result of a survey conducted by Guangzhou Statistics Bureau with 5,000 local citizens surveyed.

On Guangzhou's urban environment, 44.6 % of citizens feel satisfied, and 43.9 % feel so-so, and 11.1% are not satisfied.

Food safety was always citizens' focus. Only 18.7 % Guangzhou citizens happy with the food quality, 48.7 % thinks the food safety work just so-so. Up to 63.5 % citizens think the government should adjust their measures to give more severe punishment to the enterprises manufacturing unsafe foods.
