The second phase of 101st Canton Fair opens today. According to statistics, tens of thousand s of visitors go to the exhibition complex each day, 40% by subway, bus, taxi and waterbus. In order to tackle the transportation difficulties the attendees face during the first phase of Canton Fair, Municipal Communication Committee has put forward a series of measures to offer better transportation services during Canton Fair.

1. An additional 900-1,000 taxis will be sent to Pazhou Complex to support the original 2,200.

2. The operation time of temporary buses will be adjusted from the former 5 p.m. to 3 p.m. At the same time, more English-speaking instructors are equipped to provide guidance to foreigners.

3. From Apr. 18th, the waterbus route from Pazhou Complex dock to Xiti dock will have 14 round trips each day.

4. A detailed transportation map indicating times, routes, prices of subway, temporary busses, water bus and taxis, as well as hotels nearby the stations in Chinese and English have been set up at the exhibition venues. Three-dimensional maps of the location of public transportation vehicles can also be found at the exhibition venues.
