The Press Office of the Bureau of Public Security of Guangzhou Municipality announced that the Division of Exit and Entry Administration of Public Security would adopt the centralized mode of gathering the digital portrait photographs for issuing the Exit-Entry Permit Certificate. From June 1, 2007, the optical pictures will not be accepted any more.

The citizens can take the digital pictures in designated photo shops and the taken portrait photographs will be examined there. The receipt provided by the photo shop, a copy of the taken photo and the related documents will be required to apply for an Exit-Entry Permit Certificate in the Division of Exit and Entry Administration of Public Security.
