Local people will soon be able to purchase genuine CDs in their neighborhoods for prices up to 30% lower than the prevailing market rates.

The Guangzhou Municipal Intellectual Office has recently announced the implementation of the Guangzhou Working Scheme for the "Bring Genuine Audiovisual Products to the Local Community" Initiative. Under this program, 300 new outlets selling genuine audiovisual products will be built in the community over the next few years forming a distribution network covering the entire city.

As a pilot project of the "Bring Genuine Audiovisual Products to the Local Community" initiative, plans to provide genuine entertainment products have taken on a considerably larger scale.  With 298 outlets planned in business districts, emporiums, large-scale supermarkets, community convenience stores and underground car parks throughout the city, citizens will be assured of genuine products at reasonable prices.

The community culture chain operations will take place both online, in cyberspace, and the physical world. As products will be distributed directly to the chain outlets, middlemen will be cut out reducing costs ensuring that retail prices are 20-30% lower than the prevailing market rates and that the audiovisual products on sale are 100% genuine.
