A Price Control Administration official said on April 2 that the household gas price was still under discussion and had not yet been reported to the municipal government. However, he said, present natural gas users will pay RMB 2.5 per cubic meter and pay the price difference after the price is settled.
The gas price will be proposed by the Price Control Administration and reported to the municipal government for approval. It will then be submitted to the Guangdong Provincial Price Control Administration for the final decision. The time of the announcement of the price is still unknown at present.
