Luogang District will invest RMB 60 million in urban signs and logos. The Guangzhou Development District Administrative Committee and the Luogang District Government started collecting design proposals from home and abroad commencing March 29th.

As an important area in Guangzhou's eastern expansion plan, Luogang district accommodates many enterprises, office buildings, high-level educational facilities, residential projects as well as leisure and tourism facilities. To further enhance the image of the Luogang District, RMB 60 million will be invested to establish an urban design sign and logo system.

Distinctive directional signs will be set at more than 20 entrances and exits, as well as at important directional points on roads and buildings. Sculptures will be placed, lighting systems and outdoor advertising guidelines will be carefully planned to enhance the beauty of city. Bus shelters, rubbish bins and other "city furniture" will be redesigned to adapt to the new unified and elegant design plan.
