On March 21st, 2007, the Guangzhou Gas Company released the natural gas replacement partitions and corresponding schedules for the first half of this year. In the first half of this year, Haizhu District will complete the natural gas replacement for 80,000 households. The natural gas will cross over the Pearl River along the Guangzhou Bridge for the first time in the latter half of the year to Ersha Island and Zhujiang New City. It is expected that 20,000 households currently using gas pipelines will be able to use natural gas this year. It is estimated that the Baiyun District will supply natural gas southward from the Tianxin and Taihe regulator stations.  The pipeline replacement of the whole city is expected to be completed in 2010.

Guangzhou will be divided into over 100 partitions for the replacement. The Guangzhou Gas Company may make some adjustments according to the current situation during the process. The replacement time for a specific partition will be announced in advance to the public for them to make their preparations.
