After a serious multi-level assessment, 6 design options stood out from the Competition of Planning and Design of the Asian Games Village; they will be exhibited at the Baiyun International Conference Centre and further assessed and evaluated by experts.

On the morning of March 19, when Mayor Zhang Guangning inspected the designs, he said that Guangzhou will optimize the planning and design of the Asian Games Village and take the opportunity to perfect the facilities in the surrounding area.

The Asian Games Village should not only satisfy the requirements of the Asian Games but should also provided the functions of residence and recreation as the Guangzhou New City after the completion of the Games. Mayor Zhang said that the design options would be exhibited to the citizens, so their opinions and advice could be heard and adopted.
