As the first demonstration district for Guangzhou's mobile digital TV public information platform, Yuexiu District held the inauguration ceremony of the outdoor city TV program on February 8th, 2007. By the end of December 2007, Yuexiu District will have set up 3303 mobile TV screens.

At Grandbuy Plaza, six or seven city TV screens have been set up and started broadcasting news programs.

According to the schedule, three projects will be completed before the end of December 2007, i.e., installing 3 large outdoor high definition screens, 300 outdoor vertical (box) multimedia terminals and 3,000 indoor hanging or column multimedia terminals in three phases. The 3 large outdoor high definition screens will be installed in areas with substantial commuter traffic such as Beijing Road business area and Huanshidong Road commercial street. The sites for the 300 outdoor vertical (box) multimedia terminals will be chosen from the commerce-dense areas of the various pedestrian streets and commercial plazas.
