Radio Guangdong Launches a new English news program called Guangdong News Now today (February 1st). The program will begin at FM 107.6 Satellite and FM 91.4 will keep the old broadcasting schedule at 4 p.m., 8 pm and 11 pm.

It will replace Guangdong News and features news updates half past every hour beginning at 9:30 am to 7:30 pm every weekday (from Monday to Friday). The news will cover economic, culture, sports and entertainment information.

On the weekend, five minute feature stories will be presented to listeners, which include Weekend Express, Guangdong Today and an Olympic Countdown.

Radio Guangdong is celebrating the launch of a new English News program yesterday evening. Fu Lang, Guangdong Government Foreign Affairs Office Deputy Director Guangdong Government, and Mo Gaoyi, Information Office Deputy Director, are attending the ceremony and have expressed congratulations. Distinguished guests include six Consul-Generals from Guangzhou.
