7,000 Chinese citizens to be sponsored for overseas study - Guangdong - News Brief

China Scholarship Council (CSC) will sponsor 7,000 Chinese citizens' studies overseas in 2007. Details of the criteria and application have been announced on its official website at www.csc.edu.cn.

The Council is a non-profit institution affiliated with the Ministry of Education and mainly financed by the state's special appropriations for scholarship programs.

The objective of the CSC is to provide financial assistance to Chinese citizens wishing to study abroad and to the foreigners wishing to study in China.
