After visiting the Main Media Center for the 2006 Asian Games in Doha on December 4, Xu Ruisheng, vice Mayor and Vice Secretary-General of Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, said, "Each Asian Games has its highlights. Unique characteristics will be shown at Guangzhou Asian Games."

On December 4, the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee Delegation, led by Vice Mayor Xu, came to the Main Media Center. Vice Mayor Xu said, "Doha Organizing Committee has fully considered the needs of reporters. We should learn from our counterparts."

Vice Mayor Xu said that Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee has entered the preparation stage, "At present a stable organization structure has been established. The construction of venues, early stage assessment and planning are being carried out. A market promotion plan has been completed."

Vice Mayor Xu admitted that they felt the pressure after watching the opening ceremony of Doha Asian Games. "We believe that we can offer a successful opening ceremony through four years' work."
