On the afternoon of December 4, to celebrate the 21st International Volunteers Day, five foreigners from Turkey and the United States, together with a dozen members of the Qizhi Service Team, came to Haizhu district's Disabled Rehabilitation Services Center, to help more than 50 disabled children with their rehabilitation training.

The Guangzhou Young Volunteers Association, established in 1996, now has over 600,000 registered members.

Ye Xingren, an official of the Association, said that volunteer service is essential for the advancement of Guangzhou city, one of the leading Chinese cities in providing volunteer service. He said that their objective is to make volunteer service become a fashion and habit of the citizens.
