After the arrivals of Australian national treasures-koalas and kangaroos, Guangzhou welcomed the 2006 Australian Food Festival which opened at the Parknshop located at the Zhengjia Plaza.
The food festival was managed by the consulate general of Australia in Guangzhou and will be simultaneously held in Shenzhen, Dongguan and Zhongshan where original Australian foods are available till November 22 for people to enjoy.

Besides hundreds of foods like milk, jam, spices, cookies and coffee, such healthy foods as pure fruit juice, wine and chocolate were recommended in Chinese to the audience by Mr Kevinmagee, Consul General of Australia in Guangzhou.
Furthermore, it's the first time for citizens in Guangzhou to see three Australian native artists perform traditional dances and the musical instrument-didgeridoo.

The 2006 Australian Food Festival is the prelude of the Australian Lifestyle Expo. Within this month, Australian Trade Commission Guangzhou Office will launch a series of activities in Dongfang Hotel and the Grandbuy in Beijing Street. Such activities, said by Patrick Simon in charge of business of the Parknshop in South China, would provide a great chance for both sides to communicate on dietary culture.
