Guangzhou's housing price still on the rise - Guangdong - News Brief

According to statistics released by the Guangzhou Land Resources and Housing Management Bureau's website yesterday, Guangzhou's average home price hit over 7,000 yuan per square meter in October.

Statistics show that real estate sold in the city was nearly 690,000 square meters in October, generating nearly 4.9 billion yuan. The bureau estimates that last month the average housing price per square meter in Guangzhou rose 459 yuan over September's price to 7,029 yuan.

Insiders worry that if the city's housing price continues to grow, the country will implement more rigorous control policies to curb the growth. The city's average housing price was around 5,000 yuan per square meter last year.
