Asian Games Village to be finished by 2009 - Guangdong - News Brief

The National Development and Reform Commission has recently approved a proposal for the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games' venues and related construction projects.

Guangzhou Mayor Zhang Guangning visited the selected site of the Asian Games Village yesterday (Oct. 25). He said that keeping the ecological city concept in mind when building the Asian Games Village is important.

Zhang also stressed the importance of road construction planning and reducing the construction's environmental impact. The Village construction is planed to be finished in 2009.
