Guangzhou Metro's four lines transported 6.4 million passengers during the National Day holiday from October 1 to 7. The daily transport volume averaged 913,000 passengers, a new high for seven-day holidays since the beginning of Metro operations.

 The amount of passengers on October 1 reached 1.23 million, surpassing the old record of 1.1 million set on May 1 this year.

To streamline the traffic flow, additional trains were put into operation in Line One and Line Two from October 1 to the 3.

 The additional train helped keep intervals between each train to less than four minutes on both lines, the shortest since the Metro began operations.
