The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will not begin next year, according to director from the Guangdong Communications Department Wang Fuming at a press conference yesterday (September 20).
Wang said that because the cross-border project involves a wide range of aspects, it takes time to finish evaluation work and address problems of customs clearance and financing. The Bridge is a 48-kilometer long link connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and will cost over 50 billion yuan.
