Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision said yesterday (Sep.12) that the latest spot check indicates 92.4% of moon cakes in the province are up to the requirements issued by the Government.
This figure is slightly higher than the past few years. The Bureau has checked over 250 moon cake producers by random, focusing on production and processing. The result shows none of the cakes have food safety issues. Main reason cakes failed the test was because the labels didn't meet the requirements.
