European countries have become popular destinations for Guangdong tourists during the upcoming National Day Holidays, one of the golden travel weeks for Chinese people.

According to information from some travel agencies in Guangdong, 80% of the travel packages to Western Europe are full, while routes to Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea are 40% full. Some European routes will have to stop booking tourists this week as the visa application takes a long time to complete.

During the peak travel season, overseas prices will rise. For Southeast Asia tours, price increases range between 400 and 800 yuan, while for Japanese and Korean tours price increases range between 500 and 2000 yuan.
