Guangzhou marked the International Anti-drug Day by destroying 5-tons of smuggled drugs yesterday (June 26, 2006) at the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center. The drugs were confiscated by Guangzhou Customs, including nearly 10 types of different drugs such as heroin, crystal meth and ecstasy.

At the venue, all kinds of drug samples were displayed and drug-smuggling tools and tricks were demonstrated. In addition, drug dogs showed their abilities by showing the audience how they "sniff out" drugs. To destroy these drugs in an environmentally-friendly way, all the drugs were sent to be burned in a garbage factory.
