Students step in for wedding party - Guangdong - News Brief

Being a groomsman or bridesmaid has become a hot part-time job for university students in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, during holidays and weekends.

More than 300 university students have acted at least once as groomsmen or bridesmaids in the past week-long May Day holidays in the southern metropolis.

A student can often earn between 299 yuan (US$37.38) and 999 yuan (US$124.88) if they act as a member of the wedding party.

Those who are attractive are said to have earned even more
