Chickens wearing rings sold in Guangzhou - Guangdong - News Brief

Stating on March 17, chickens wearing rings on their feet will be sold at some markets in Guangzhou. According to information from the Guangzhou agriculture department, the ring is proof that chickens are safe for consumption and not infected with bird flu.

The first batch of 200,000 rings has been made and relevant departments are considering producing a fake-proof mark for the label. The animal epidemic prevention department will give out the rings to those chicken farms that pass the bird-flu inspection. These rings will have different colors and codes, representing different production places and chicken farms.
