[GZ] A large plaza to be built on Huanshidong Road - Guangdong - News Brief

The busiest area on Guangzhou¡¯s Huangshidong road will be changed into a 45000-square meters public plaza, surrounded by Garden Hotel, World Trade Center and Peace World Plaza. By then, Huanshidong Road will twist its way down to the ground and run beneath the plaza like a tunnel.

In addition, Guangzhou Metro Line 5 will also be built in the area, just under the tunnel. This program aims to make the busiest area on Huanshidong Road a strong Central Business District (CBD).

According to Guangzhou Bureau of Urban Planning, the construction plan has been basically approved and the construction day is yet to be decided.
