Yesterday evening (Jan 12th) Secretary of Guangdong CPC Committee Zhang Dejiang met with Australian Ambassador to China, Dr. Alan Thomas. His visit evoked memories of a pleasant trip Zhang and his Guangdong delegation made to Australia last November.

Both parties expressed hopes to enhance cooperation in different areas including education and tourism, as well as energy and mineral sources. Meanwhile, Guangdong Vice-Governor Lei Yulan received a visiting religious delegation from Cambodia. Lei had a review of Guangdong's relationship and cooperation with Cambodia.

She hoped that the Cambodian religious representatives' visit can further promote trade and technological cooperation between Guangdong and Cambodia, as well as a mutual friendship in their religious circle.
