Guangdong's provincial GDP hit 1.886 trillion RMB in 2004, ranking the first of China, according to the national statistics bureau. And the provincial GDP is expected to exceed 2.15 trillion RMB this year.
Of this amount of 2004, primary industry (agricultural sector) accounts for 121.9 billion yuan,; secondary industrial (industrial sector) development accounts for 928 billion yuan, and tertiary industry, for 836.4 billion yuan. The proportion of the three industries is 6.5: 49.2: 44.3.
