In the first ten months of this year, Shantou exported 34.09 million USD worth of machinery and equipment, a year-on-year increase of 90.5%, higher than the total of last year.
The huge increase in Shantou's machinery and equipment exports was largely attributed to its private companies. In the first ten months, private firms in the city exported 23.75 million USD worth of machinery and equipment, growing 80% and taking up 69.7% of the city's total machinery and equipment exports for the same period.
